fun book
By Amazon Customer
My 6 year old daughter loved this book. It's fun and exciting, a fantasy world made of candy. There is a "bad guy" but he is not too scary, and the way they defeat him is not violent but spun in a positive "outsmarting" way. My daughter had wonderful dreams about the Candy Kingdom after we started reading this book and can't wait to read the next one.

Good story, a bit advanced for a 7-year old girl still learning english.
By Luis F. Gonzalez Hernandez
I bought the previous book in this series, in a book fair at my daughters school. We live in Mexico but her school is bilingual, so I thought this would be a good way for her to start practicing her english reading. We liked it so much that we bought a second one, this time online through Amazon. The story in both books is quite good, however the English being written here is not the best for someone still learning the language. There are plenty of "fantasy" terms that are hard to translate and understand. For us it was fun to read and a good learning experience, but it was not an easy read. I'm sure for a native english speaking girl, this is a very entertaining book, they can probably read this on their own, so I would recommend it.

Big Hit With 6-Year-Old
By Stephanie
May daughter is 6 and in First grade. She loves this book series. I purchased the first two for her and she read them in 2 days. I hope to get her the rest of the series. In the AR system it is listed as a third grade reader, but it was quite easy for her. She is advanced for her age, however I would say any fairy loving girl in 2-3 grade can probably read them independently. First graders may need a bit of parental help if they are not reading above grade level. I struggle to find books at her reading level that are also within her maturity level and this was perfect.
