Not only great, but still supported

Folks interested in buying the game might hesitate due to its long-since out-of-print status.
Since I'm all for encouraging people to read and play DC Heroes, I will thus mention that there's still a very active fan community producing a lot of material, which is archived at http://www.writeups.org.
The second and third edition of DC Heroes are classics, with Green Ronin's DC Adventures as its obvious descendant. Some never wrap their head around DCH's distinctive concepts, but for those who do it's a fantastic game.

Great game

Wow, this game brought back memories with a smile to my face. I was a role player with another well known game, and when I discovered this game, I immediately became immersed into creating my own DC world. I quickly gathered my college friends to become active participants in my brave new universe. I can remember using stores and businesses from movies and television to give it an identifiable basis, such as Chico's Bail Bonds from Bad News Bears. I was able to write several work threatening scenarios before we finally graduated. Unfortunately after that, finding enough time to play that we all could share was something we just couldn't overcome. I still possess me complete boxed set hoping that one day my world's heroes will meet again to fight evil and crime.

Best Superhero RPG ever

Of all the campaigns Ive ever played in this has left me with my fondest memories. The rules were simple in that its all about rolling 2 d10s - doubles rerolled and added (leading to the possibility of spectacular results) and compared to a chart for hit then damage. That can be annoying at first but after a little practice you get a hang of it all. Shame the game is no longer available as it was by far the best superhero RPG out there.
